An Opportunity to Improve Fuel Poverty Partnerships in Aberdeen
Home Energy Scotland North East will welcome partners to its advice centre at Cotton Street, on the 29th May. The Partnership Day will explore ways to improve partnerships and collaborative working to achieve common goals.
With a mission to help people in Scotland create warmer homes, reduce their fuel bills and help tackle climate change, Home Energy Scotland staff are well versed in building and maintaining partnerships to affect positive change – especially when it comes to reducing fuel poverty and cutting carbon emissions.
Community Partnership Officer Diane Alexander explained the thinking behind the Partnership Day; ‘”Day in, day out, our advisors are working with people in, or at risk of fuel poverty and they provide a first class service. Part of that work involves referring and signposting the householder to other local and national agencies so they can get additional help – often it’s support for mental health conditions or debt advice.”
‘”Here in Aberdeen the team is keen to make sure we all have up to date information and really understand the partners we’re working with, and in turn that they know more about us. The Partnership Day is a great chance for us to do just that”
The day promises to be an opportunity to network with other third sector organisations, look at ways to maximise the existing relationships for the benefit of our customers and develop new links and successful future partnerships.
