With the cost of living still being high, here are some ways you can save
Insulating your home – it’s important to make your home as insulated and free of draughts as possible so it’s more comfortable to spend time in it. For instance, if you have no loft insulation, installing 270mm of new insulation can really help retain heat in your home. It could also save you up to £355 a year on your energy bills.
Using heating controls – room thermostats and heating controls allow you to set and maintain the temperature in your home and make sure it’s warm for the times of day that you’re at home and switched off to save electricity when you’re not.
Water – if you’re feeling a little chilly, and making a hot drink, be sure to only fill your kettle with as much water as you need, so you save around £11 a year on your energy bills.
The easiest way to begin making your home more comfortable is to take a Home Energy Check and find out what changes you can start making.
How do you get around? Did you know… that by replacing car journeys with using the bus, you can reduce your CO2 emissions by 43%?
