After a brief pause, the Scottish Government-funded Warmer Homes Scotland programme is back up and running with more funding and more help available for households to install energy efficient home improvements.

What is Warmer Homes Scotland?

Since its launch in 2015, the programme has helped more than 35,000 households across Scotland to live in warmer, healthier homes which are more affordable to heat.

Warmer Homes Scotland provides energy-saving home improvements like heating and insulation to reduce your energy bills and keep the heat in. You could get help worth up to £10,000 or more to make your home warmer and more energy efficient. It’s a comprehensive service that takes you through the whole journey from assessing your home, through to installing the improvements and carrying out final quality checks.

Patrick Harvie, Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, said, “We will continue to do all we can within the scope of our powers and budget to tackle poverty and support those in greatest need. We are committed to a heat transition that takes people with us and that shows clearly why a rapid shift away from fossil fuels is necessary.”
