Use the Home Renewables SelectorIf you want to reduce your carbon footprint and energy use, you may want to consider generating your own electricity and heat using renewable energy. For example, you might want to install solar panels to generate your own electricity, or a heat pump to provide heat and hot water.
Find out about renewable energySometimes, the electricity you generate will be more than you can use or store. If you register for the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), you can receive payments for any excess energy you generate and send back to the grid.
