More people are now eligible for Warmer Homes Scotland funding

More people across Scotland could now get support to make their homes warmer and cheaper to heat.

The Scottish Government has made changes to the Warmer Homes Scotland programme, meaning even more people can get energy-saving home improvements like insulation, draught proofing or heating upgrades, all tailored to your home. 

If you’ve applied for Warmer Homes Scotland before but weren’t successful, it’s worth checking again as you may now be successful under the updated criteria.

What is Warmer Homes Scotland?

The Scottish Government’s Warmer Homes Scotland programme offers support to households that are struggling to stay warm and keep on top of energy bills. If you need help to reduce your heating bills and make your home cosier, you could get support worth £10,000 or more. 

Depending on your circumstances and property type, you could get improvements ranging from insulation to heating system upgrades. 

Once you’ve spoken with us and if we refer you, Warmworks, the organisation that delivers the programme, will guide you through every step - from checking your home, recommending improvements, installing the improvements and finally making sure the work is done properly.

Who can apply?

This depends on your personal circumstances - like your age, income, and health and how energy efficient your home is.
