Meet the winners of our 2025-26 energy quiz!
Our annual quiz has come to a close.
We’re handing out £7,500 worth of energy saving appliances to people across Scotland.
That’s because our 2025–26 energy advice quiz has now come to an end, with 10 people chosen as prize draw winners.
Our quiz is a quick and easy way to pick up practical tips on saving energy at home, cutting carbon emissions and making greener choices. As a thank you for taking part, everyone who completed the quiz could enter our prize draw.
Each winner will receive £750 worth of energy efficient appliances to help reduce their household energy use. From kitchen appliances to smart home technology, the winners can choose products that work best for their home.

What our winners said
We asked our prize winners what they thought about taking part in the quiz and how the prizes will help them at home.
So surprised when I got the phone call about winning but I am very pleased I received it. I chose a new washing machine, tumble dryer and heated airer to help me cut down on my energy bills as costs are always rising these days. These prizes will help to reduce costs and make my household more sustainable to do my part for helping the environment in the future.
We’re absolutely delighted to have won £750 worth of energy-saving items from Home Energy Scotland - we were very surprised to get the email from Michael! A huge thank you to everyone involved. It’s fantastic to see organisations supporting households with practical ways to save energy, reduce costs, and make homes more environmentally friendly. This prize will make a real difference to our home, especially with the rising cost of energy, and we’re very excited to start using everything. Thanks again for your generosity and for all the great work you do helping people become more energy efficient.
I was over the moon to get a phone call telling me I had won in the energy quiz. Our old gas oven doesn't work anymore, so I picked a new electric counter-top oven that will save time and money. I also chose a new TV which has a better energy efficiency rating than our old one, an up-to-date vacuum which will reduce the electricity I use, and a clothes drying rack that I can use inside and outside to help cut down on using my tumble dryer. All of these prizes will make a big difference to our home and help lower our energy bills.

Why is the prize energy-efficient appliances?
We chose energy efficient appliances as the prize because they can make a real difference to how much energy a household uses.
Appliances that use less energy can help reduce energy bills and lower carbon emissions, without changing how you live day to day. Whether it’s replacing an older appliance or choosing smarter technology for the home, energy efficient products are a simple way to save energy over time.
By offering energy efficient appliances as the prize, we hope to help our quiz winners put the advice they’ve learned into practice and make their homes more energy efficient.
